The Spirit of Sleep Cheap

A Niagara Region Tradition That Gives Back

Niagara residents, this one's for you.

Who says you need to leave the region, or spend a fortune, to enjoy a real getaway? Sleep Cheap Charities Reap is back, and it's your chance to check into a hotel right here at home while supporting the charities that strengthen our community.

Mark your calendar: November 22–26, 2026. Bookings open October 22 at 9 a.m., and popular rooms tend to go fast, so be ready.

A Night Away, Without the Big Price Tag

The beauty of Sleep Cheap is its simplicity. You don't need an elaborate vacation plan. Check into a hotel, order room service, wander down to the Falls, or simply put your feet up and play tourist in your own backyard for a night.

2026 advertised room rates:

  • $65 for a standard room

  • $75 for a Fallsview or whirlpool room

  • $125 for a waterpark room

Parking is included, with no resort fees or hidden costs advertised. HST and the Municipal Accommodation Tax are extra.

Whether you're a couple craving a Fallsview evening, a family eyeing the waterpark, or someone who just wants to sleep in and skip making the bed for once, there's a stay for you.

Good Times That Give Back

Here's what makes this Niagara tradition so special: it's not just a great hotel deal. It's a fun night away that turns into something meaningful for our community.

Sleep Cheap began in 2004 as part of Niagara Falls' centennial celebrations, with fundraising added the following year. Since then, it has raised more than $2.7 million for charitable causes .

In 2025 alone, the campaign raised more than $108,000, supporting organizations addressing food insecurity, community outreach, health and family services, including the YWCA Niagara Region, Niagara Health Foundation and GROW Community Food Literacy Centre, among others .

The initiative has also contributed to a larger $150,000 commitment toward the new South Niagara Hospital, with an Emergency Triage Station to be named in honour of Sleep Cheap .

It's a wonderful reminder that doing good doesn't have to feel like a big production. Sometimes, it starts with booking a room for the night.

Make a Night of It

Why not turn your Sleep Cheap stay into a mini Niagara adventure?

Start with dinner at a local restaurant, take an evening stroll near the Falls, or enjoy some sightseeing without worrying about the drive home. Families might prefer a waterpark stay, while couples could opt for a Fallsview room and a slower-paced evening.

And if your idea of the perfect getaway is sleeping in, enjoying a leisurely breakfast and not making your bed the next morning, we fully support that.

Niagara is a destination people travel thousands of kilometres to experience. Sleep Cheap gives Region residents a chance to enjoy a little of that magic themselves, while helping neighbours and community organizations along the way.
